She also worked for several years concurrently in a Family Practice/Urgent Care setting. Annie grew up in Pocatello and is married to her high school sweetheart. They have a 3 daughters and had a son with autism who was diagnosed with cancer and passed away. This experience has given Annie an incredible amount of empathy for her patients and it is not uncommon for her to give an anxious patient a hug and reassurance as she guides them in the right direction for treatment. Running, waterskiing, and snowboarding are some of the activities Annie enjoys. She is also involved in the community, serving on the board of directors of a local charter school and being active in her church."
This content was provided by Annie Dixon "Annie's passion is service and she loves that part of her job. "When I feel like I have actually helped someone in need, it feels good. Sometimes I can't believe I get paid for it!"
Talking too much in class and a fascination with dissecting things are what lead to her decision to go into medicine. It is a great combination when it comes to communicating with patients and treating them effectively."
