Ann began her medical career as the first female firefighter/paramedic in the State of Utah, working for Salt Lake City Fire Department for 5 years. She then continued her educational pursuits in the field of nursing until reaching her goal with a Doctorate of Nursing (DNP) degree. As a nurse practitioner since 2001, Ann has provided primary care to children in the private clinic setting, children and youth in foster care, and adolescents in youth corrections. Ann held an Assistant Professor (Clinical) position at the University of Utah, College of Nursing from 2012 through 2015, teaching the pediatric content to nurse practitioner students. Over the course of her career, Ann has received many awards, including Nurse Practitioner of the Year (Utah Nurse Practitioner Association), the Directors Award (Division of Child and Family Services, State of Utah), and the Service Award (University of Utah). Ann was recently inducted into the Ogden High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Ann loves the outdoors. She hikes, skis, cycles, travels, plays tennis and golf, slack-lines, and rides a unicycle. On her days off, Ann surrounds herself with family and friends planning and participating in all things fun and exciting.
