"I like that my patients are able to talk with me, especially when it's about something that concerns them or that they haven't wanted to talk about with anyone else," she says. "It's gratifying to empathize with patients, to give them information and work together, and to see them improve." At Associated Physicians, Dr. Fothergill provides comprehensive and primary care for adult patients of all ages and all stages of life. She also serves as the director of quality for the Associated Physicians medical practice. "I like the broadness of Internal Medicine, treating different conditions and helping patients navigate the health care field," she says. "In Madison, people have access to a lot of options and specialists; care can get compartmentalized as a result. It's my role as the primary care doctor to put this all together for my patients." Personalized Health Care A native Iowan, Dr. Fothergill and her husband live in Madison and enjoy outdoor activities including running, biking, gardening and camping. She shares the Associated Physicians mission of community involvement, and she volunteers with free clinics operated by students from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, and with the South Madison Coalition of the Elderly. "My favorite aspect of being a physician is the relationships with my patients, and I like the autonomy we have at Associated Physicians to actually shape care for them," she says. "And I think, as physicians, we have a duty to be part of our larger community, too, so I'm proud to be part of a practice that is involved in many types of social engagement.""

Did not listen to me at all Disregarded all prior information and removed diagnosis Had her own preconceived notions about my issue and did not even talk to me Simply saw one thing in my file and based all decision based on one thing, not entire file Worst MD ever
