I was very excited to find an Psychiatric APRN for my daughter that was accepting patients, as it has been difficult to find Behavioral Health Professions taking new clients. Unfortunately, after only one visit he has proven that the intent of his practice is not the care and betterment of his clients. Evidence of this is when the client leaves the appointment feeling worse and more confused than when they went in. That being said, I would not recommend him for care of yourself or a loved-one. Skip this one altogether.

He did prescribe me a medication when I needed one, but that’s about the only good thing I can say. As with another reviewer, he told me my diagnosis - a common, well-known diagnosis - did not exist. He actually went as far as to say that my mood disorder which had heavily impacted my life for over 6 years might just be my “hormones.” He then launched into an extensive baseball metaphor that I didn’t really follow but seemed to imply that I’m just not trying hard enough to be emotionally stable. As the icing on the cake, he never knew what doses my medications were for some reason, so I had to remind him during each session, and the one time I forgot he doubled the dose of one of my prescriptions when he refilled it. Also, when I told him a medication was not working for a condition it wasn’t even meant to treat, he just tried to increase the dose. I absolutely do not trust him.

I recommend this provider and appreciate his cautious and holistic approach to prescribing medication. I was diagnosed with ADHD (on top of an already existing PTSD diagnosis) by an outpatient therapist in May of 2019, and found this office in my search for a reliable and consistent provider for medication for both conditions. At my initial visit, Amer took the time to explain each of my diagnoses to me as well as the side effects and benefits of the medication prescribed and has monitored these at each subsequent visit in a holistic and caring manner difficult to find in modern medicine. He has also helped me decrease and even eliminate medication I have previously taken which has been a positive and empowering experience.

Very unprofessional- out to make money rather than helping people. Gave advice from self help books rather than counseling.

Amer has truly changed my mental and overall health for the better- I have been severely mentally sick, in and out of outpatient for a year, and he is the only doctor that got my meds right. In one session he explained my diagnosis (I had been misdiagnosed for a year), how it relates to my age, what each medication I was on was doing to both my body and mind, and eliminated 2 medications that were negating each others effects. I feel the best I've felt in a year and a half. I am so grateful, he is the best prescriber I've had ever in my life. I'll remain his patient for as long as I can.

My visit was discouraging. The google reviews didn’t add up with the expectations of the office space or the practitioner AT ALL! The provider wanted to up my current med by 5 mg even though another provider already advised that the medicine was not enough for my needs. He was cynical, he told me a condition that I was told I may have doesn’t exist. He actually said “what exactly is blank condition mean, I don’t know exactly what that is”. He said pharmaceutical companies push meds for all of these different conditions and that the DSM 5 was written just as a guide to billing for conditions. I am a patient that have been in very seriously challenging places in the past (and currently) due to my mental health. I don’t think he is equipped to deal with people who REALLY need help. He asked me to go set up our next appt at the end of the visit and then cancelled that appt via email after I left and said I wasn’t a therapeutic fit.
