Amber Seneres, LPC

I have been working with Amber for a year, on both my relationship with my teenage daughter and my relationship with my partner. It has been life changing. Every call she listened and then gave me actionable suggestions to work on situations. She never made me sit in silence and wait for an AHA moment, and I am so grateful for that. Each week my relationships improved and grew because I had her spot on suggestions to work with. From our work, I am able to calmly address the ever surprising challenges between myself and my teen and see it from all perspectives, entering each situation with the benefit of the doubt. She has taught me ways to say things that are non-aggressive and give the other person room to think for themselves and grow. I also love she is available by cell for emergencies, and always happy to text back quickly for a quick question or suggestion. I would highly, highly recommend her.

I saw Amber on three separate occasions. As someone with ADHD, I needed to develop strategies to help with daily life. Even though these sessions look place years ago I still use techniques I acquired. Separate counseling was with our family including our 9 year old daughter. The outcome was positive and helped us to grow as a healthy family. Most recently, and currently, I see Amber for issues related to the result of childhood trauma. We used the EMDR technique and my symptoms subsided. I recommend Amber highly. Her insightfullness and compassion cannot be overstated.

I sincerely recommend Amber to anyone going through challenges in life. She provides a comfortable space for opening up and sharing. Amber has helped me help myself navigate through great I find Amber trust worthy and extremely supportive.

As a 23 YO trying to navigate life while balancing college, a full time ‘real’ job, social life, a long distance relationship, and everything in between; you could say stress is a bit of an understatement for me. Amber has been an incredible partner in assisting me with learning skills to cope with my anxiety/depression and ADHD in healthy and productive manners. She’s someone whom I really trust to have my best interest, and that I can count on. I’ve engaged things about myself I never attempted to explore, and have really began to develop a strong form of self love and growth.

I started seeing Amber after a difficult break up with my 11 year relationship. She is beyond amazing. We did EMDR therapy to assist in identifying where my behaviors triggered from. She has worked with me for over a year to become a much stronger Independent woman and regain myself back. When she advised she was leaving the area I was beyond devastated by the news but have been able to remain as her client through video chatting. Definitely not the same but know that she is always available to help me in challenging times. She has always made her self available in my crisis modes regardless of when I needed her. Having been to a different therapist in EC, I found Ambers techniques suited my style and energies better than anyone else through the years I have seen. She is completely the best therapist in our area in treatment, availability to her clients and her level of concern. Her ultimate goal is to provide her clients to tools to handle life. She’s a blessing to me.

I took my 7yo to see Amber after his school was concerned he was ADD. Amber was fantastic! She worked with my 7yo and determined that he was not ADD but was actually bored in class and needed to have more difficult work assigned. We continued to see Amber for a few months after because my 7yo loved to go see her and we saw great improvements in his attitude and behavior at school and with friends. My son has really missed going to her office, he said she really helped him understand his friends and she was nice to talk to.

My Daughter saw her for months and she couldn’t gain enough trust with her for my daughter to even open up and talk. She recommended we stop the sessions until my daughter was ready to talk. When I asked her a few months later to start my daught’s sessions again, she said she would not see my 7yo until my custody battle was over with my x/w. Wouldn’t that be the exact confusing time for 7 y/o to be talking with a counselor? Concerned dad
