Amanda Sylvester holds the degree of Master in Social Work from Eastern Washington University. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Washington University with a major in Reading and a minor in Early Childhood Education. She has worked as a Child, Teen and Family Mental Health Therapist, Sexual Assault and Victim of Crimes Counselor, Grief Counselor, Therapeutic Group Facilitator, School Social Worker, Psycho-Educational Parenting Instructor, Crisis Interventionist, a Teacher and a Coordinator for the regions Children and Family Bereavement Center. In addition, she is a co-author of a resources manual for Mental Health Professionals and provides Clinical Supervision to local clinicians. Amanda provides a safe environment where clients can focus on identified areas of growth & healing. She believes that effective therapy is based on trust, while focusing on areas of strength to achieve desired goals. We do we do not all fit into a one-size-fits-all model or approach to therapy, as everyone is uniquely different.
