Care Philosophy

My practice is an amalgam of various approaches. I do not have a "one size fits all" practice. I seek to work with my client(s) to determine the best way for them to go about the work of healing. I see myself more as one who helps people to find the right questions rather than one who has the answers. My foundational belief is that healing is possible, not by forcing our outside circumstances to change, but by changing ourselves in relation to these outside circumstances.Read more

Virginia Felder says...

Over the years I have trained in many different styles of therapy: Experiential, Gestalt, Family Systems Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered, etc. I made it a point to do co-therapy with every therapist at the Atlanta Psychiatric Clinic when I began practicing in 1975. There were psychiatrists, social workers, pastoral counselors and psychologists among them. Each had their own unique approach.  I have also acquired certification for different modalities such as Clinical Hypnosis and Healing Touch.  Healing Touch is a form of Energy Psychology or Mind-body healing certified through the field of nursing.  I have studied many other Energy Psychology methods and have trained with don Oscar Miro-Quesada for over 15 years.  Oscar is a world renowned Peruvian teacher, healer and shaman.
