Helping Clients Relieve Trauma and Stress in the Body
As a patient of Sheridan's, she'll help you feel grounded and comfortable in your body, regardless of the circumstance. Using intention to communicate with your body, she encourages the discharge of stored trauma and stress, creating a very deep release to areas that other therapies simply cannot reach. Sheridan does this by using acupuncture, bodywork, herbal medicine, lifestyle and dietary advice along with qi gong healing.
Born and raised in a small suburban town in Indiana, Sheridan moved to Salem, Oregon in 1996, to attend Willamette University, focusing on East Asian Studies and Theatre. Attracted by Portland's thriving art and music scene, she moved here in 1999. She then completed training first as a massage therapist and then got her Master's degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She has fun supporting local performer friends and getting involved in a show at least once a year herself. Sheridan's other hobbies include hiking, dancing to glitchy electronic music, riding her bike, cooking vegetarian organic meals, hunting at thrift stores, and walking around Portland, sometimes even in the rain.
