Dr. Fetters says...

Dr. Sheila Fetters is a native of Eastern Iowa. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids and graduated in 1994 from the Illinois College of Optometry where she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree. After graduation, she worked as an associate doctor in the Cedar Rapids and Coralville areas. In 2005, introduced Fetters Family Eye Care, PC, and in 2014 relocated next to LensCrafters in Westdale Mall. After the closing of Westdale Mall, Dr. Fetters relocated her office to the Queen Court location, and added a beautiful optical in order to meet the needs of her patients.

Her practice specialty is with contact lenses, and she promotes quality eye care for the entire family. Preventative eye care begins with annual eye exams. Early detection of dry eyes, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic and hypertensive retinopathies enable us to consider treatment to stabilize and/or preserve a comfortable level of vision.

Dr. Fetters is a member of the American Optometric Association, American Diabetes Association, St. Ludmila's Church, and former member and co-chair of St. Ludimila's Discipleship Committee, former Prairie School Foundation Trustee (College Community School District), former Junior League of Cedar Rapids member, and a former parent volunteer at the College Community School District.

Dr. Fetters and her husband have 3 children. Some of Dr. Fetters' personal interests include quality time with family and friends, reading, attending athletic events, and traveling.

Having been in practice for over 20 years, Dr. Fetters and the staff at Fetters Family Eye Care are excited to share her enthusiasm with the newest developments in eyewear and contact lens materials, her clinical expertise in their fit, as well as her continued focus on quality eye health exams for the whole family. We look forward to serving you at Fetters Family Eye Care for all of your vision needs.
