Dr. Kotzur brings 10 years of experience specializing in anxiety, depression and digestive disorders. She received post-doctoral training in homeopathy, a safe and effective system of natural medicine. She treats patients of all ages for conditions including fatigue, insomnia, thyroid problems, hormone imbalance, poor immunity, menopause, blood pressure, autoimmunity, and infectious diseases. Using a non-judgmental and flexible approach, Dr. Kotzur typically prescribes simple diet and lifestyle changes, supplements, herbs, and homeopathic remedies. If needed, she uses conventional lab work, as well as food sensitivity testing, in her assessment. Originally from Vermont, she returned to the Northeast in 2008 to establish her private practice. She has served on the faculty at the University of Southern Maine's School of Nursing in the Holistic Health Program, where she developed and taught Naturopathic Medicine curriculum. She is a faculty member at Baylight Center for Homeopathy in Portland, where she teaches medical sciences. She is past President of the Maine Association of Naturopathic Doctors. She met her Australian husband on an island in Greece while they were both backpacking around the world. They enjoy jumping in Maine's ocean in winter and eating sticky buns from Standard Baking.
