Care Philosophy

The most rewarding part of my job is being able to develop a relationship with my patients. As a foot and ankle surgeon, I work with each patient to develop a unique plan that addresses each patient's unique problems. Though I am a surgeon, I believe that most foot and ankle problems can be treated by nonsurgical measures such as orthotics, therapy, injections, medications, etc. We turn to surgery when conservative methods fail and when the patient is ready.Read more

After a poor result of a previous surgery, Dr. Wood saved my leg! He helped me heal my wounds and redid the surgery that had been messed up on me before. He is a very caring doctor and traveled an hour for each of my visits. After our visits I felt like I could trust Dr. Wood completely. He gave me confidence in the surgical plan he presented for my specific situation. I'm now healed, and doing things I love to do!
Glad you are doing well!
