I joined the US Navy at 20 years old as a laboratory technician and a medic. I worked my way up in rank, from an E1, becoming a Chief Petty officer and eventually being commissioned a Warrant Officer in the Navy Medical Department, after attending the George Washington University PA school on a Navy scholarship. I moved from Memphis to Knoxville in 1996 to work in local emergency rooms. I quickly realized that my ER experience would benefit patients most in a clinic environment when I saw so many of them coming to the ER because they were being treated inadequately by primary care providers.

Rudy Hamm's Care Philosophy
Active listening to patients medical history and complaints provides the best insight into their problems. We at Halls Walk-in Clinic take the time to hear the patient, a long lost art in the Medical Field. Patient input and participation in their care is a hallmark of our clinic. We are a walk in clinic but Dr. Wilson and I are both Tennessee Medical Board certified and are also trained in Family Medicine. We both have extensive Emergency Room experience in several (10) area ERs and coordination with all specialty doctors. This helps us to know when you need referrals. We cooperatively work with your primary care physician to provide the continuity of care your pcp directs. This is one main reason why we are the principal walk-in primary care referral center in the area.
