Dr. Mullin is a Chiropractor that specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He is an expert at: - Diagnosing and treating pain - Restoring maximum function lost during injury, illness or a disabling condition - Rehabilitation of sports injuries and injuries sustained during auto accidents - Utilizing conservative, non surgical solutions - Specializing in preventative care and overall health and well-being, not just treatment.
Dr. Mullin graduated Cum Laude from the National College of Chiropractic in 1994. He first practiced in a Sports Medicine Facility in the Chicago suburbs where he was one of the on-staff sports-physicians for two area high schools. Besides treating sports injuries he was responsible for injury rehabilitation programs and preseason strengthening programs for the athletes. It was in Chicago that he started his 3-year specialty in Sports Medicine. In 1996, Dr Mullin returned to his home state of CT and joined the multidisciplinary staff at Advanced Health. Over the years he has successfully treated thousands of neck, back, knee, shoulder, and foot/ankle conditions. He has also completed a 3-year specialty program in Rehabilitation in which he received advanced training in therapeutic exercise and myofascial release techniques for spinal and extremity conditions. In 2004 Dr Mullin completed a comprehensive training program in whiplash and brain injury traumatology from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego. The training emphasized biomechanics of injury mechanisms, occupant kinematics, automobile crash reconstruction methods for low speed impacts, and the most recent knowledge of soft tissue, endocrine, bony, and nervous system disorders, advanced diagnostic methodologies, and the comprehensive case management of whiplash and related disorders. Dr Mullin has worked closely with the medical and physical therapy staff throughout the years. In 2008 Dr Mullin completed his training in acupuncture and began utilizing acupuncture as an adjunct to his physical medicine training. He has enjoyed positive results utilizing acupuncture for acute pain and chronic injuries. Dr Mullin lives with his wife and son in upper Fairfield County where they enjoy gardening, home improvement projects and have been known to whip up some pretty tasty home-brewed beers.
