Dr. Rhenand Mendoza, DPT
Dr. Mendoza graduated as the Class Salutatorian from one of the top physical therapy schools in the Philippines. Though he was granted full scholarship for medical school, he rather chose to practice physical therapy in the United States. Having a breadth of clinical experience with at least a decade in patient care from hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and out-patient clinics, Dr. Mendoza continued his studies to obtain his post-professional Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Massachusetts General Hospital - Institute of Health Professions in Boston. After working in Shands Regional Medical Center in Florida, he then moved to Washington State for a deep interest in naturopathy and energy medicine. While living mainly a plant-based diet, Dr. Mendoza also recognizes the role of nutrition and lifestyle medicine in physical rehabilitation. He is a certified Diet and Lifestyle Intervention practitioner from the Wellness Institute for Health Studies spearheaded by Dr. Pamela Popper, ND, PhD. He had supervised physical therapy students from the University of Florida and the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences as a Credentialed Clinical Instructor by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Currently, Dr. Mendoza is completing his training in Classical Homeopathy under the teachings of Prof. George Vithoulkas from the International Academy of Classical Homeopathy based in Alonissos, Greece. He is a certified SCENAR (Self-controlled Energetic Neuroadaptive Regulator) therapist and distributor by the RITM OKB ZAO based in Taganrog, Russia. Also, he is a member of the American Academy of Pain Management (AAPM), the North American Society of Homeopaths (NASH), and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM).

Dr. Mendoza's Care Philosophy

My approach to healing is different from most people know about traditional physical therapy seen in other settings such as in hospitals, nursing homes, physicians' offices, and huge chains of out-patient settings. You will enter a private area with my treatment table, my clinical skills, and my adjunctive techniques to help you heal. You will be treated as a person with mind, body, and spirit and not just a number. A thorough history taking and assessment will be done that might unravel causes you might not have thought of. Suppressing and masking pain are not my primary goal. I am here to map out and identify the root cause of the pain. If I see early that your pain would not benefit from any of my approaches and is too severe and acute, I would refer you to the most appropriate health professional. Otherwise, I would treat the most urgent cause of your pain and I would further identify the underlying cause of it once your body has calmed down.
