I've seen enough psychologists to know the good from the bad and Orna is PHENOMENAL. She has helped me come up with clear, defined steps to help me overcome unhealthy habits I've been struggling with for a long time. I'm quite aware of who I am and what my weaknesses/strengths are so it's hard for me to find a psychologist who can challenge me and point out more than what's already obvious to me. But Orna compassionately pointed out subtle patterns of self destructive behavior that I failed to r

Dr. Goldwater says...

I am a Health and family psychologist.  As such I treat conditions that tend to be transferred genetically or due to environmental stressors.  Some conditions such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder can be developed due to genetic vulnerability, environmental conditioning, as well as, exposure to stressors or trauma.

Some other conditions are both physical and psychological.  For example: ADHD is a physical disorder that impact sleep, brain development, with cognitive and emotional symptoms.  Same are other neurological disorders such as MS, Fibromyalgia, ALS, and variety of medical conditions that can also lead to depression, anxiety, and sleep disorders.

Additionally, there are medical conditions that can be managed behaviorally.  In my practice, I help patients to understand the emotional impact of their condition and to learn skills that help them to manage the symptoms so can they live a productive life and reach their personal and professional goals.

Dr. Goldwater says...

I have a doctorate in Counseling Psychology with focus on Family Psychology.  Additionally, I interned for two years with Salesmanship Club Youth and family Services, and two years with Southwest Family Institute.  I have been practicing psychology since 1989, and helped introduce Family Systems approach to the school system in Dallas.

Since that time, I participated in many externships involving family therapy, marital/couples therapy, career counseling and coaching individuals who need skills such as social skills or parenting skills.

For many years I trained other psychologists and counselors to provide family-based psychotherapy, and social skills training to individuals and groups.
