Norah believes the body has amazing healing abilities, and effective care is based on honoring these abilities. She views the healing process as a team effort, with the patient taking an active role. She strives to make Chinese Medicine accessible and understandable to the average person.
Norah earned her master's degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego and is both California and nationally certified in acupuncture and herbal medicine. In addition, Norah has studied in China, doing clinical work at Nanjing Hospital and attending seminars through the China Nanjing International Acupuncture Training Center. She has also privately studied meditation, tai chi and qi gong for many years and uses these healing tools with her patients. Norah has been in private practice as an acupuncturist since 2002, beginning her career in a busy, established acupuncture center in La Jolla, California. There she gained extensive experience with a number of health issues, including male and female infertility, anxiety, depression, addictions, digestive disorders, muscle and skeletal pain, and headaches. She practiced at this center for almost ten years before opening her own practice in Los Angeles. Norah is currently in private practice in Los Angeles, and her primary areas of specialty are headaches, disordered eating and struggles with food, and women's health issues. She also provides group acupuncture treatments to local seniors. In addition to her private practice, she has worked with several eating disorder treatment centers, providing acupuncture and related services to their clients. Norah has had several articles published about acupuncture and its use in the treatment of eating disorders.
