Even specialists specialize. One orthopedic surgeon might do nothing but hip surgeries, while another does nothing but knees. If you want the best possible care, it’s critical to match your medical need with the doctor who truly specializes in treating it.

Nina Savelle-Rocklin, Psy.D. is a psychoanalyst and internationally-recognized expert in weight, food and body image issues, appearing in the Los Angeles Times, Prevention, Real Simple, Huffington Post and many other publications. She is a frequent guest expert and has spoken at the prestigious National Meeting of the American Psychoanalytic Association.
Dr. Nina brings a fresh perspective to the treatment of eating problems, helping people understand "why" they turn to food instead of focusing on what they're eating. In addition to her private practice, she writes an award-winning blog, Make Peace With Food, hosts a popular podcast, Win The Diet War with Dr. Nina, and offers "food for thought" on her video series, The Dr. Nina Show. Her book on the psychoanalytic treatment of eating disorders is to be published by Rowman & Littlefield later this year.
Whatever is going on with food is a "symptom" of the problem, not the actual problem (although it feels like "the" problem). Dr. Nina helps you identify and work through what's eating "at" you instead of focusing on food.
