Dr. Michael Haines, PHD
I treat patients using a collaborative - relationship approach which especially uses various insight oriented approaches., including neo Freudian. I believe such a psychodynamic approach helps the patient not by simply teaching or guiding them but by helping them to more deeply understand and heal themselves. Thus the relationship, insight, and interpretation are important in truly treating the underlying causes of their problems , not just treating the symptoms from deeper issues. Medications can be useful in lessening the symptoms but are not seen as the end solution in most cases.

Inappropriate. The questions, his need to have (or appear to have) control, choice of subject matter, and more. Zero interest in learning about me or even why I was there or what help I needed, just wanted control. Felt as though I would be bled for money before I got help with anything. Waste of time.
