As both an acupuncturist and a naturopathic physician, Dr. Sullivan is able to integrate the ancient healing practices of China with modern Western medicine. He accepts a wide variety of patients, with a focus on physical pain and injuries, cancer support, digestive issues (such as nausea), and mental health issues (such as anxiety, depression, stress, and living with chronic illness).
The treatments that he favors are natural, safe, and effective. They include acupuncture, herbal medicine, hands-on techniques such as craniosacral therapy, mind-body approaches, and counseling. For patients who do not want to be needled, Dr. Sullivan can access the acupuncture points and meridians manually. Dr. Sullivan is committed to helping his patients heal, to educating his patients about their health, and to treating the whole person, not simply treating one symptom or aspect of the person.
Dr. Sullivan completed both a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a masters of science in Acupuncture from Bastyr University in Kenmore/Seattle. He has completed additional training in craniosacral therapy, kinesio taping, and dural attachment therapy (similar to bio cranial). He earned a B.A. in history from Georgetown University and completed his prehealth studies at New York University (NYU). Outside of his medical practice, he enjoys hiking and skiing in the Cascades, as well as yoga, meditation, and qigong.
