My clinical approach is compassionate & hope-fIlled, for in the words of the Little Prince, it is "only with the heart (affectivity) that one can see rightly". Along with Ph.D. scientific learning & continuous research, I have developed a deeply caring clinical approach - working alongside amazingly dedicated others in numerous formal/informal settings during years of training & collaborative global practice. I've found that, indeed, sorrow & beauty go hand in hand -- in emergency psychiatry, hospital chaplaincy, pediatric aids, childhood cancer, on the streets with cyclically homeless youth, with asylum seekers, forcibly displaced unaccompanied children -- in third grade classrooms at morning check-in . . . So I "work" from a flexible, integrative theoretical position, drawing from Lovingkindness in Wisdom traditions, ancient Buddhist & inter religious thought, interwoven with clinical developmental/psychodynamic, attachment & modern attachment theory; & global mental health theory.
