Ksanti's Garden is conceived in love, by the desire to create sacred space and haven for well-being --- a well-being that encompasses heart, mind, body, and soul, for the individual, couple, family, community, and the earth. These intricately interwoven complexities call for multi-faceted holistic approaches. Thus, Maria's specific approach is eclectic and client-centered.
You can read about the whys, whats and hows of psychotherapy on countless websites. The long and short of it is that whatever it is you are doing apparently isn't working for you. What you probably want to know is, why me and not some other therapist? And, that's a good question. I tend to take a more direct approach to helping you experiment with the changes you'll need to make in order to get your life on track and to feel better. There is only one ultimate purpose for undertaking psychotherapy, and that is change. So, I'll ask questions – a lot of questions. I will challenge. I will probe. It will be uncomfortable. I will shake up the status quo. I will hold up a mirror so that you can see yourself and then make decisions from your core. I will help you find your true self, whom you may meet for the very first time. A friend in the profession who refers folks to me tells them, "Go see Maria. She won't let you get away with that. She'll call you on your stuff." I realize this approach doesn't work for everyone. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. If you're ready to take a deeper look, I may be able to help. I'm all about integration and treating the whole person – soup to nuts (heart, mind, body, soul). It's a transformative process that takes time. If you're looking for a quick fix, I'm probably not the best therapist for you. If you've reached that place of choicelessness, where you are compelled to transfigure, then I could well be a good fit. And, if you are, by chance, seeking a more holistic, transpersonal, nondual approach to understanding your journey, I may well be a really good fit.
