My areas of special training and expertise include early childhood development, traumatic brain injury, mental illness, substance abuse, and grief/loss. I provide individual counseling, family counseling, and group therapy to clients and their families. I use a variety of techniques in therapy, trying to find what will work best for you. These techniques are likely to include dialogue, interpretation, cognitive reframing, awareness exercises, relaxation exercises, self-monitoring, visualization, and journal keeping.
I have a MSW in Clinical Social Work earned in 2003 at Grand Valley State University. I am a licensed social worker in the State of Michigan. I am also a member of the National Association of Social Work.
