Dr. Kristi Mannon, PHD
Dr. Mannon received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of North Texas. She went on to earn her Masters of Science degree in Psychology from the University of North Texas. She also earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology at the University of North Texas. She completed her American Psychological Association (APA) accredited internship at Western Youth Services in Mission Viejo, CA. She then successfully completed a APA accredited post-doctoral fellowship with an emphasis in couples and family therapy at the Dallas VA hospital. She then began her career at Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas before founding Compass Youth & Family Psychological Services.

We all struggle from time to time, and whether that struggle is emotional, relational, or behavioral it can lead to feeling overwhelmed and stuck. Our children face difficult challenges daily. Parenting is arguably the most difficult job in the world. Relationships with others can be difficult. As a licensed psychologist and owner of Compass Youth & Family Psychological Services, I provide empathy and guidance through life's challenges. I strive to help my clients live a more meaningful life. I aim to walk with you through the difficult times and providing support and tools needed to help navigate through the difficulties. My primary theoretical orientation is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also use other evidence-based treatment models such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Functional Family Therapy, and other evidenced-based treatment models to meet my clients' needs.
