I have been in Private Practice since December 2014. I obtained a Master of Professional Counseling degree from McKendree University, in Lebanon, Illinois, in May 2010, and worked at Chestnut Health System in Belleville, as the Early Childhood Mental Health Clinician from Sept. 2010 to May 2015. During that time at Chestnut, I also trained under the Erikson Institute in Chicago, in Child Parent Psychotherapy. Prior to receiving my Master's degree, I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and taught junior high science and math. Following that, I worked at an alternative high school, where I taught Child Care, and ran a preschool as a "hands on" curriculum. I then owned and operated an in-home licensed preschool/child care for five years. My husband and I have three grown children, and have hosted 13 exchange students and four foster children.

Julie Weber's Care Philosophy
My approach to therapy is grounded in Cognitive Behavior Model to help client's recognize how their thoughts affect their behaviors, and how changing distorted thoughts can bring about changes in client's behaviors and actions. I also apply the Family Systems Model, which views the family as a single unit, assessing interactions within the family, and making suggestions for change.
