I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University. I have had training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Anger Management, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, and therapy with LGBTQ populations. I have over 20 years experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I have helped individuals cope with depression, anxiety, recovery from trauma, self esteem issues, and grief. I have extensive experience working with families affected Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger's, and other developmental Disabilities, and working with individuals facing physical health challenges. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment to assist clients in discovering ways to use their own strengths and talents to develop ways to face life challenges. I believe in a collaborative problem-solving process, working together to identify goals and strategies while also making clients feel respected, understood and appreciated. Working with a client, I help them identify strengths and then guide them toward reaching their individual goals. I want to empower clients to develop ways to cope with stress, improve communication, and manage emotions and behaviors as they work to improve their relationships and lead more fulfilling lives.
