"Our mission is to Inspire, Educate, and Nourish the Mind, Body & Spirit in the creation and maintenance of wellness."
Dr. Honey became a Chiropractor ultimately because he had a lot of health issues as a child. He became tired of being on drugs, allergy medication, and antibiotics. As a young adult he finally saw a Chiropractor whose practice was based upon the principles of Chinese Medicine. After a series of treatments and lifestyles adjustments, it helped him so much that he decided he wanted to help others in this way.
Dr. Honey learned meditation at age 14 and attended Maharishi International University from 1978-1982. He studied meditation and had a pre-med background. He then went to Logan College of Chiropractic and graduated in April of 1986. As a senior intern in Chiropractic school, Dr. Honey studied acupuncture under Dr. Sunderlage in Logan College's post-graduate department. Upon graduation in 1986, Dr. Honey worked as an associate in Dr. Sunderlages office in Elgin, IL and continued developing his own practice through 2001 when he opened his own clinic in St. Charles, IL.
Dr. Honey met his main teacher of Chinese Medicine in 1986 and worked 1-2 days per week with Dr. Guo Zhengang for 10 years. During this time, Dr. Honey also taught post-graduate seminars in advanced Chinese Medicine for Logan College of Chiropractic.
In the late 1980's through early 90's Dr. Honey studied Tai Qi Kung Fu with Master Yu Chen Huang, a 31st generation Martial Arts Master from China's Shao Lin School. Dr. Honey began in the 1990's incorporating sound healing into his acupuncture treatments utilizing the frequencies of specific tuning forks to generate soothing, nourishing tones.
These healing tones can be heard also on Tuesdays from 7-8:30pm at our Chakra Tone Meditationwhere Dr. Honey demonstrates and teaches his unique overtone singing with the intention of clearing balancing and strengthening the chakra system.
Dr. Honey is the proud father of 5 grown children and grandfather of one grandson. He resides in St. Charles and has lived in the Fox Valley area for 29 years. He enjoys writing, performing his music, and playing his guitar.
