Dr. Hutter graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX in December 1996. While studying for her Doctorate in Chiropractic, she also received a Bachelors of Science in Anatomy and Physiology and completed a two year Certification of Acupuncture from the Parker College Post-graduate program. Prior to that, she attended the University of Colorado, Boulder and received a B.A. in Environmental, Populational, and Organismal Biology in 1993.
Since she began practice, Dr. Hutter has continued to study and complete programs that allow her to offer the most comprehensive and progressive alternative health care to her patients.
In 1997, she completed her C.C.E.P. designate (Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner) under Dr. Kevin Hearon, D. C. that gave her the knowledge to help with sports injuries and athletes of all ages.
With this skillset, she has had the honor of working with and effectively treating several retired college and professional ball players.
To support her sports injury and extremity practice, she is also certified to provide High School Sports Physicals and is a KT (Kinesiotape) practitioner.
Dr. Hutter is a member of The American Academy of Chiropractic Physicians and received a AP-C (Advanced Practice Chiropractor) from the state of New Mexico where she is also licensed.
She also held licenses in the states of Maryland and California where she practiced after she graduated. In April 1998, she moved to Denver and opened and operated Healthworks Therapy & Nutrition Center, Inc. until April 2014. She then moved her practice to Fraser, CO to embrace the small town lifestyle.
For fifteen years, Dr. Hutter provided nutritional counseling for a Colorado state agency that manages and cares for the mentally impaired. This has been such a rewarding venture and one of the many joys of her 20 years in practice.
In the past, she also provided nutritional counseling and meal plans for the Cherry Creek High School football team to increase muscle strength, help reduce the risk of injury, and enhance performance during activity.
Dr. Hutter is a member of the Colorado Women's Chiropractic Association and is currently a member of the Colorado Chiropractic Association Board of Directors. Here she focuses on making strides and improvements for the Chiropractic profession in the state of Colorado.
I believe incorporating various healing modalities is the only effective treatment to achieve optimum health in today's world.
Chiropractic has been built of the premise that the body can heal itself if all obstacles are removed that prevent optimum function of the brain and nervous system. While this is true, our current environment deems this an impossible task. With the introduction of pollutants and processed foods as a main staple in the American diet, our systems are constantly bombarded by things that produce toxicity and reduce optimal system functioning.
And while I practice Chiropractic, I do not believe that this one sole healing art can do all things and I do not believe that one treatment style is superior to another. Each patient's physical and chemical make-up is different and responds differently to each treatment style. Therefore, I incorporate and combine techniques styles dependent upon the patient's needs.
