Mrs. Fimbel approaches her clinical work with various methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered Therapy, Holistic Therapy, Strengths-Based Approach, Mindfulness/Meditation, Expressive Arts Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Exposure Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Mrs. Fimbel earned her undergraduate Bachelors degree in Clinical Psychology from Keene State College in 2006 and received her Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Rivier University in 2010. Prior to this she worked in a variety of mental health settings over the years, including residential care, brain injury unit, and early intervention. Mrs. Fimbel is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New Hampshire and currently works with children of all ages, teens, young adults, and adults who are experiencing a wide range of difficulties in their lives. She also runs an Expressive Art Therapy group for teens throughout the year. Mrs. Fimbel has a diverse background working with various client struggles and diagnoses. She has a particular interest in working with clients and families struggling with: depression/mood disorders, anxiety disorders, nutrition/food addiction/over-eating, life transitions/career counseling, relationship issues, low self esteem, teen issues, adjustment disorders, pregnancy/fertility/postpartum, divorce/separation/family conflict, anger management, loss or grief, and parenting education.
