Dr. Jason Soriano, PSY.D
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has been with Counseling Associates of Rockford for over three years. I earned his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and volunteered with adolescents in an alternative middle school in the Madison area. After graduating from UW-Madison, I worked as a substance abuse technician at the Rosecrance Griffin Williamson Campus in Rockford, IL. While employed at Rosecrance, I worked with adolescents and their families on treating substance abuse and other co-occurring mental health challenges. After two years of employment at Rosecrance, I made the decision to enter into the PsyD program at the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago where I spent the next five years earning my Masters degree in Counseling and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. During his graduate training, I trained with a variety of populations in the public sector. His previous training experiences include children and adolescents, LGBTQ populations, and couples and adults with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse diagnoses. Currently I split my time between my private practice and working at Mercy Hospital as the bariatric psychologist, pain psychologist and as the primary psychologist at the Women's Center treating breast cancer survivors.
