Every patient is unique. With 28 years experience in private practice, I offer customized approaches to address concerns and improve wellness. I assess, diagnose, and help treat body, mind, and spirit, working with one person at a time, often for an hour or more each session. Healthcare is effective only when it is a partnership. Treatment may include Acupuncture, Clinical Aromatherapy, Dietary Suggestions, and Therapeutic Supplements. Acupuncture has demonstrated remarkable success with frustrating, chronic conditions. Functional Nutritional Therapy recognizes that each of us has biochemical individuality. I have a passion for nutritional science and can help develop a personalized program to highlight someone's nutritional strengths and weaknesses. I respect the limits of my license, referring patients to other health modalities when necessary, and happy to partner with other health professionals. A patient's best possible care is my highest priority.
After Acupuncture relieved chronic migraines, I left an IT career as a NASA contractor to become an Acupuncturist (systems work on a different type of mainframe, my husband likes to say). After years in private practice, I have never regretted that decision. Acupuncture is not a panacea, but I have seen it work well, sometimes when all other approaches have not. Some of my most rewarding cases have involved pre- and post-surgical support, help for chemo patients, as well as palliative care. My particular training with Acupuncture has also proven successful with PTSD victims. Early on, I saw that poor diet was often a major factor in a patient's imbalance, so I began an in-depth study of nutrition. My studies and training are ongoing. I am a Licensed Acupuncturist and Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. There is no glory nor much money, either, but to help someone with their health is worth all my effort.
