Originally from Michigan, Grant received his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Tech University and worked in the automotive and petroleum industries for 15 years. After seeing firsthand how effective acupuncture was, he decided to change careers and, in 2008, graduated from the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) in Houston, TX, receiving a Master's of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) degree. Grant is qualified as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (certified in both Acupuncture and Chinese herbs) by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and holds professional memberships with the American Botanical Council, the Texas Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (TAAOM) and is licensed in Texas.
