Dr. Van Horn graduated in 1988 with a Master of Science in Psychology, from Wayne State University , in 1992 she received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Alder School of Professional Psychology in Chicago Illinois and in 1999 she completed her two-year Post Graduate Course in Neuropsychology in Santa Barbara California.
She has been the Owner/Clinical Director of Michigan Psychological & Consulting Services since 1990, with 2 clinics; Taylor Michigan and Bloomfield Hills Michigan.
Dr. Van Horn is a licensed Psychologist.
Dr. Van Horn specializes in Forensic Psychology which includes testifying on high profile cases in Civil, Criminal and Federal Courts. She also does Forensic evaluations to include but not limited to; competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility, competency to Waive Miranda Rights, Presentence, and License Restoration, and conducts evaluations of police officers.
Dr. Van Horn also specializes in Neuropsychology; Closed head injuries, learning disabilities, behavior and conduct disorders, Dementiias, childhood development disorders. With a special interest in Battered women syndrome, child abuse and depression and anxiety.
