Immensely dedicated to expanding the knowledge-base of podiatric medicine and influencing future medical providers, Dr. Donald E. Pelto takes continuing education quite seriously. Having completed a three-year reconstructive foot and ankle residency program at St. Vincent Hospital during his own training, Dr. Pelto is uniquely equipped to train current podiatric residents. Dr. Pelto is the author of various articles and two books on podiatric conditions, including Healthcare Guide to Diabetes and Your Feet and The Sneakerama Foot Pain Book: Common Foot Problems and What You Can Do about Them. He also proudly contributes to the quarterly improvements sessions for Strategic Coach during 2012-2015 sessions. He is board-certified and active in numerous podiatric societies and associations. Since he is constantly learning more about this special branch of medicine, Dr. Pelto is competent at providing both medical and surgical treatment for virtually all conditions affecting the foot, ankle, and associated leg structures.
