Dr. Dean S. Stern, DPM

Podiatric Foot & Ankle Surgery | Male

We deal with everything from simple problems - such as hammer toes and corns and calluses - to complex problems - ankle fractures, soft tissue tumors and even peripheral nerve problems. Ten or 15 years ago, if someone had a painful deformity of their foot, they could expect to be in the hospital for days or even weeks. Nowadays, most of these problems can be treated as an outpatient. Every day I'm gratified - because every day I see people who benefit by these things. And, it makes me want to keep doing it.Read more

Initially went in because I needed orthotics. Nothing was covered through my insurance, and they didn't mention this until it was time to order the orthotics. Mind you, this is after 5 office visits, one x-ray and 2 MRIs. Also, the billing department and folks that handle the scheduling never return any calls. It took 9 months to get the orthotics as they kept saying I didn't pay the deposit and the charge was on my credit card statement.

On more than one occasion Dr. Stern has saved my foot, leg (and possibly my life). His honesty buoyed by his sense of humor & humanity is unmatched in his field of expertise. I always recommend him to family & friends. BTW: he's always training students and resident MD's - a sign of a superb teacher.
