Dr. Christian Smith is from Shreveport, Louisiana, where he graduated in 1991 from Haughton High School. He lettered in varsity baseball and was the Corp Commander for the largest Air Force JROTC program in the country.
He attended Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana, and graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry. During that time he sang with the Centenary College Choir performing throughout Europe and Asia. Dr. Smith then attended Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois
There, he excelled academically, being awarded many scholarships including the Scholl Distinguished Scholar Award and the Scholl Merit Scholarship. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2000 with a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine.
After receiving his degree, he completed his internship in Podiatric Medicine at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, affiliated with Cornell School of Medicine. He then completed three years of residency training in Podiatric Surgery at Cambridge Health Alliance affiliated with Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.
Following residency, Dr. Smith was in private practice for 2.5 years in Shreveport, Louisiana. In 2007, he moved to Memphis, Tennessee and joined the physicians at Mid-South Foot and Ankle Specialists. He sees patients in the Midtown and Covington locations.
He has a special interest in pediatric and adult flat foot and diabetic lower extremity preservation. He is an associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Smith is an avid outdoor enthusiast spending time camping and water skiing. He resides in East Memphis with his weimaramer, Blue.
