Seeing a therapist has been stereotyped as a negative thing in our society. Where else can one go to be seen and heard as well as gain insight into their lives without judgement or shame? Psychotherapy is the treatment that allows us to revisit old hurts, current pain, and other emotional experiences, develop a new understanding of them and begin to reshape our thoughts and feelings in healthier ways. Therapy can be as quick as a few sessions and can be longer term depending on the treatment plan that is discussed and agreed upon within the first two sessions and when the goals are accomplished, either the client terminates or new goals need to be set. I am not currently accepting insurance, however if you have Out of Network benefits for Outpatient Psychotherapy/Behavioral Health, I can provide you with a monthly form to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
