After completing my Biology degree, I realized that working in the lab setting just wasn't for me. I had the strong desire to work in a field that would help people become the healthiest they could be. This prompted me to get my Master's degree in Nutrition and become a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist. Nutrition has been a passion of mine from an early age. It is a science that is forever changing, which for me, keeps it forever interesting! I love to share that with people.

Barbara Bapst's Care Philosophy
Believes in a holistic approach to nutrition counseling. Advocates use of whole foods, regular exercise, high-quality supplements, and restorative techniques, such as yoga and meditation to foster good health. However, she meets people where they are at in the behavior change process. Encourages gradual goal-setting to promote longterm change that lasts a lifetime. A full nutrition assessment is done on every client during the first visit. Then the client is aided in setting specific goals and given help in meal planning. Additional guidance on appropriate supplementation and mindfulness techniques may be given if the client desires.
