Andrea Davis is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Art Therapist. She specializes in art therapy with children, adolescents and adults. She has worked extensively with anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual abuse (victims), foster/adoption issues, autism spectrum, social skills, behavioral issues, personal growth/ identity, bipolar, schizophrenia, and various medical issues including adult and childhood cancer.
Andrea is a member and former President of the North Texas Art Therapy Association. In addition to private practice, Andrea makes mixed media art and participates in exhibits. Her work as an art therapist was featured in a cable television episode of The Art of Living Gallery on the Veria Network titled Andrea Davis & Ellen Chernoff: Finding the Inner Voice.
Recently published a chapter in Ethical and Legal Issues in Counseling Children and Adolescents, 2017, Routledge. Currently working on a documentary about story cloth making with women telling their stories about social justice themes.
