Dr. Locke has been practicing Chiropractic in the greater Cleveland area since 2006. Originally from East Liverpool, Ohio, Dr. Locke is a 2001 graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College. He completed his graduate studies in 2005 at National University of Health Sciences in Chicago, Illinois, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and his Doctor of Chiropractic. He was first introduced to chiropractic care as child, to address debilitating migraine headaches that had suddenly developed over several months. After just three visits, his headaches were gone, and he never suffered another migraine. This experience fueled Dr. Locke's fascination with the function of the human body, and his strong desire to help those in pain, just as he was helped as a child. Dr. Locke has a passion for the treatment and correction of soft tissue injuries, and his constant pursuit of continuing education has led him to become the only Level 3 NeuroKinetic Therapy® Certified chiropractor in Ohio. He is also a certified "Rock Doc" (Basic and Performance Fascial Movement Taping) through Rocktape®. Using these techniques, he is able to restore function to his patients and reduce their pain. Dr. Locke enjoys treating neck and back pain, acute sports injuries, and pain that developed slowly over time without any injury at all. As a former wrestler and long-distance runner, he especially loves working with athletes of all ages to help improve their performance and enhance their movement and muscular coordination patterns related to their activity. "There's no better feeling than knowing that I've helped a patient return to the activities that they love, without pain." Dr. Locke enjoys spending his free time with his wife and their wire-haired fox terrier Lola, and currently holds a Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Dr. Locke's Care Philosophy
Most pain develops due to dysfunction in an area of the body away from the site of pain. When one muscle doesn't function properly, the brain will automatically recruit another muscle to try and pick up the slack. This is an example of a dysfunctional movement pattern; the brain is using a muscle that isn't designed to do the work it's being asked to perform. Unfortunately, this "helper" muscle can only do so much work before it becomes painful and injured. Unfortunately, this is beyond your control, as the brain is simply trying to find a movement strategy that is successful to allowing your body to move they way you want to. In order to unravel your dysfunctional movement patterns and develop an appropriate treatment strategy for your complaints, Dr. Locke will perform a full evaluation, including orthopedic and neurological testing, range of motion and mobility assessment, and manual muscle testing. Once the root of your problem has been determined, a specifically designed in-office and home care treatment plan will be assigned to help retrain these dysfunctional movement patterns and get you back to moving and feeling great! "When a patient remains consistent with their home care, that's when the magic happens."
