Dr. Satterwhite's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Satterwhite "I am originally from Columbus, Georgia, and graduated in 1983 from the University of Georgia with honors. In 1987, I graduated from the Tulane University School of Medicine with honors and stayed in New Orleans, Louisiana, to complete a five-year orthopaedic Surgical Residency program with Tulane University.I completed a one-year Sports Medicine Fellowship with Drs. JamesAndrews and William Clancy in Birmingham, Alabama. I started my private practice years in 1993 in Lexington, Kentucky, but moved back home to Georgia in 1998. I became a board certifiedorthopaedic surgeon in 1995. My goal is to treat my patients as I would my family and friends. Many orthopaedic injuries can be treated non-surgically while others may require basic or technologically advanced surgical procedures to achieve the best result. I will strive to provide you with as much information as possible to ensure that you make an informed decision concerning your treatment options. I am particularly interested in the treatment of shoulder, knee, elbow and ankle injuries which includes, but not limited to shoulder instability, rotator cuff and labral tears, ACL tears, meniscus tears, tennis elbow, and ankle sprains. When surgery is required, I use arthroscopic or minimally invasive open techniques whenever possible. Throughout the year, I participate in continuing medical education courses to ensure that I can provide the latest advancements in orthopaedics to you, my patients. Please let us know if there is anything that we can do to make your experience here at Resurgens Orthopaedics a more positive one. We want to provide you with the best orthopaedic care available. I understand the extra time it may require to fill out paperwork during your office visit, but it enables my staff and me to better manage your care. Additionally, I apologize in advance for the time you may have to wait to see me.In some cases, patients require special attention or I may be called to the hospital to assess a serious injury. My staff and I will do our best to see you as soon as possible and take the time you need to receive individualized care."

Dr. Satterwhite helped me tremendously to ease the pain in my knee with arthroscopic surgery. She is caring and I never feel rushed when seeing her. She always takes the time to review any questions or concerns I have. Her office is friendly and efficient. The hospital, Emory Johns Creek is exceptional as well for its intake nurses and operating team. I have already referred friends to her.

I am a new patient. She is very friendly, down to earth, and knowledgeable. I was SO impressed with her, that I am passing her business cards on to several of my friends who would benefit from seeing her. I truly wish all doctors connected with her patients like she does. In addition, her staff has been working for her for a long time. This tells me that she treats her employees well. May good things continue to happen for Dr. Satterwhite!
