I visited Dr. Matamala for the first time today and felt very comfortable with her demeanor as well as in her competency. She gave me a pap smear and was thorough in answering my questions. I am really happy to have her as my new OB GYN!

I went to see her for a routine check and she was so nice. She has good manners and she seems a very good Dr. She explain me every step of the visit and she replied to all my questions. She made me confortable. Her office at NYU Langone on 52nd St was clean and the nurse was kind and professional too. The receptionist was a girl from Trinidad, she was very funny and she made the check-in easy. I was looking for a good Dr. like her for long time and I really think Dr. Matamola is the right one.

Went to my regular checkup visit for the first time with Dr. Matamala, and it was great!. Not only was she thorough, answered all my questions, but she also gave me various options when it came to treatment. She explains everything in great detail, and makes sure to follow up with you. She was very welcoming, and friendly throughout the whole visit. The wait time was not long, I just checked in at the desk with my information, and next minute they called my name! Totally recommend her!

Absolutely horrendous experience. Saw her in an emergency on short notice in a scramble for a new gyn. Was sent by her office for imaging by a callous technician -- told there was a prob but had to wait 3 days for results which were communicated tersely in a vague grammatically incorrect email, essentially pointing out bad finding with no clarification. Much better follow up exam with a more qualified doctor a few weeks later proved this not to be the case. Insensitive, unprofessl communctn.

ok doctor- but never took my severe pelvic pain seriously. Saw her 5 years ago and was having pain since I was 32 (am now 46) - She told me I didn't have endometriosis cause she couldn't feel it in my exam. You cant feel endometriosis in an exam. She said my trans vaginal ultra sounds were normal but didn't me that you can't see endometriosis in an ultra sound. Also Minestrin causes hair loss. I was not informed- lost 75% of my hair from taking that BC Pill. Her failure - no child for me.
