I have MS and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (the injury gets better but the pain gets worse and never gets better or goes away.) In my opinion I think Dr. Lin has a hard time with diagnosing a problem if it doesn't jump out and grab him. It is not because he does not care or is hurried, it's because the test he and/or other doctors have performed come back normal. He is a specialist who is supposed to take care of a certain disorder one may have or confirm to one's family doctor that yes, that is exactly what his patient has. Dr Lin is busy and once again in my opinion does not want to take on a fishing trip to find what one has. Dr. Lin was very nice to me but he did need time to warm up to me. I would bake cookies for him, we would joke around he was a very warm and caring doctor. Yes the office staff could be nicer but please just give the doctor a chance, remember what type of culture he comes from. By the second visit one small see what a great neurologist he is.

After several tests incl.2 nerve conduction tests and 2 brain MRI's during a 2 yr period Dr. Lin couldn't give me a diagnosis for my symptoms. He relied only on the radiologist report visit as his only explanation. MRI's clearly showed decline, but because radiologist said there was nothing acute(no large tumor) that I was fine. Then told me I should see a psychiatrist and there is nothing more he can do for me! Overall, very unconcerned and dismissive with me during all appt I had with him.

After performing a nerve conduction test that lasted all of 5 - 8 min, Dr. Lin proceeded to communicate that both tested conducted that day were normal. Following this Dr. Lin basically stated that he did not know what was causing the symptoms that my wife was experiencing and told us that she should get dressed and leave the office. If we wanted to discuss further that we should reschedule. Lin was not patient or gentle he seemed rushed to meet the deadline for the next patient. Does not care.

Dr. Lin was very patient with explaining a serious issue with my family member's complicated health problems. He was professional and a very good listener, which I appreciated very much. I did not feel rushed. He took the time to talk to me and made sure I understood his recommendations.

This doctor seemed to have very little concern for treating my symptoms.. even after 2 Mri's he couldn't diagnose my problem. After he realized he couldn't, he wouldn't even refer me to another doctor. I had to find a specialist outside the area , who diagnosed me as soon as he read my MRI.
