This content was provided by Dr. Reisman "Dr. William Reisman, a native of Tennessee, received his Bachelor of Science at Northwestern University and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He completed his Internship and Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Emory University. Following his residency at Emory University he specialized in Orthopaedic Trauma with a fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Reisman returned to join the staff at Emory University in August 2010 as Assistant Professor in Orthopaedic Traumatology and Director of the Orthopaedic Center. As of January 2013, Dr. Reisman became the Chief of Orthopaedics at Grady Memorial Hospital as well as the Director of Orthopaedic Trauma. Dr. Reisman participates in multiple prospective and retrospective research projects in a variety of clinical interests including compartment syndrome. He has been awarded multiple grants to pursue these interests. Dr. Reisman also actively lectures both locally and nationally on orthopaedic trauma and is an AO North American Trauma Faculty member. Recently, Dr. Reisman was selected to be a member of the distinguished American Orthopaedic Association. His interests include pelvic and acetabular fractures, multi-extremity injuries as well as general fracture care and orthopaedic trauma. "
