I was having issues with numbness and tingling going down my left arm and neck pain due to degenerative disc disease. Dr. Reed came highly recommended. During the first visit Dr. Reed was straight forward with what needed to be done (surgery). After my total disc replacement (2-level), I noticed a difference right away. I wasn't having shooting pains or zingers going down my arm and the numbness and tingling was going away. By week 2 no tingling or numbness at all, and in a months time only two zingers down my arm which used to be 5 or 6 a day. I highly recommend Dr. Reed and his staff for any neck issues you may be having.

I suffered an injury to my lower back in 2011. I've had 2 prior surgeries on this location (L5-S1) that each worked for a few years. Both surgeries caused me to be out of work for weeks and had corresponding long recovery times. When my disc herniated and compressed my nerve root for the third time, the first doctor I visited strongly recommended a fusion of the L5/S1 vertebrae. I researched my options and found that Dr Reed is one of the leading surgeons in the Midwest who performs artificial disc replacements. I went to visit Dr Reed and he suggested that I was a good candidate for an artificial disc total replacement. It has now been 3 weeks since the surgery, I have been back at work for 2 weeks and the only pain I still have is some muscles that are still adjusting to me suddenly getting my old height back. I strongly recommend Dr William O Reed Jr for patients who are told by other surgeons to have a fusion performed. I have full mobility now.

I have been on pain medication for 12 years after 3 prior back surgeries. Dr. Reed did a disc replacement on my L5 S1 and my pain is gone. Even the pain down my leg is gone. I would totally recommend Dr, Reed.

I had severe pain in my cervical neck and found that that at C5-6 and C6-7 there was stenosis and degenerative discs. I couldn't sleep at night due to the pain. I was looking at other possible Doctors and even had discussions with the Mayo Clinic about my issues. In the end I did see Dr. Reed and I'm glad I chose him to perform ADR (Artificial Disc Replacement). Dr. Reed and his staff work directly and diligently with my insurance company and finally we go it approved. The surgery was performed and it was a success. I can sleep at night, headaches are gone, I no longer have stiffness in my neck and the pain that radiated down my arms and my right arm in particular is gone. I would recommend Dr. Reed to anyone and have...and will continue to do so. Many on this sight have spoken about his bedside manner. I could care less about any Doctors bedside manner. I may have him perform the same type of surgery on my lower lumbar one of these days. Great Job Dr. Reed!

In 2004 I ripped out my S1 L5 and L5 L4 in a car accident. Four other neurologist surgeons prior to dr. Reid wanted to do nothing but give me drugs and postpone surgery. When they suggested surgeries, they only wanted to fuse my back. Dr. Reed surgery of Chartiers disc replacement in 2009 was the best thing that happened to me I was wheelchair-bound and bedridden at that point and was bone on bone. His excellent staff showed true compassion and caring all through the process. He was nothing more

I am now able to do the little things I wasn’t able to do before, like laying down to sitting up pain free, tying my shoes. I’ve almost stopped taking all pain medications! Would recommend to anyone.

I had surgery in 2017 on my L4/5. He went in an cleaned up the area, but caused a lot of scar tissue. Now I am Bone on bone and no other surgeon will touch my back due to the extensive scar tissue. So now I get to deal with the pain for life, instead of a fusion which is needed.

Had a total disc replacement in my neck and haven't had any complaints. I was able to help my family move when I wouldn't have been able to before the surgery.

I came to Dr. Reed with a history of previous spine surgery C2-T12 posterior fusion. I had been experiencing a couple years of increased weakness, pain and times of inability to walk. My previous surgeons had acknowledged that there was compression at L1-L2 but felt that additional surgery was too risky. Dr. Reed seemed confident he could help me and I was at the point where I was willing to take a chance. The surgery was a success. My gait is improving and I'm well on my way to pain free
