Dr. Pidwell's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Pidwell "I have lived and worked in Park City, UT for the last 20 years. Initially I worked with the Park City Clinic doing both family medicine and urgent care. This transitioned to working at the Park City and Heber Medical Center Emergency Departments. Throughout this time I also regularly staffed the Park City and Canyons Ski Clinic where I attended to acute ski injuries and trained residents and sports medicine fellows from all over the country. In 2016 I joined the Rosenberg Cooley Metcalf Clinic and am now exclusively providing non-operative orthopedic sports medicine care in our Park City office. I enjoy all sorts of sports and endurance activities including hockey, baseball, football, soccer and, of course, skiing. I have completed a number of half-ironman races and local endurance races including the Point to Point Mountain Bike Race in Park City. I have been a member of the Deer Valley Ski Patrol since 1997 and continue to enjoy working with orthopedic injuries in the most acute, on-mountain setting."

Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Pidwell "I believe that certain orthopedic conditions will respond best to surgery, but the majority have the opportunity to heal well with a less invasive approach.  I can provide the evaluation, diagnosis and appropriate treatments (including both surgical and non-surgical options).  If surgery is indicated, I will immediately get you in with one of my esteemed partners at the Rosenberg Cooley Metcalf Clinic.  If non-surgical options are available, I will review all of those that are supported in the medical literature, including casting/splinting/bracing, physical therapy, and injections with cortisone, PRP, or Stem Cell.  There are often many options in caring for orthopedic injuries and chronic conditions, and I will work with you to define the right answer for your case."
