He completed a fellowship in cornea and external disease at the University of Rochester before performing the first outpatient corneal transplant on the North Shore early in practice. These including small incision cataract surgery, toric and multifocal intraocular lenses and , over the past few years, the use of Femtosecond laser to assist in cataract surgery. These developments have enabled patients to have options that reduce their dependence on spectacles. He continues to enjoy practicing general ophthalmology with special emphasis on cataract surgery, medical and laser treatments for glaucoma and diabetes, retinal and macular disorders and routine eye care. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the New England Ophthalmology Society and the Massachusetts Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
