I met Dr Mook through Stones Spring Hospital when my knee had locked up for the second time. He was responsive to the staff on call at hospital. I made an appointment to see him in regards to my knee. Dr Mook did the surgery and my progress has been great. What I liked the most was his thoroughness on explaining what needed to be done and what I could expect. To that end he is now doing my rotator cuff surgery because he was most thorough in explaining my condition and what needed to be done. I had previous evaluations and was very comfortable with Dr Mook.

Not only did he do a great job repairing my rotator cuff and bicep tendon tears, but was very understanding and encouraging during my very painful, lengthy recovery. Highly recommend.

Dr. Mook was awesome. I thought I had broken or sprained my finger. Turns out I didn’t break it. It was sprained and bruised. If you could have seen it. Strangely swollen and almost like I had dipped it in cherry koolaid. He sent me to a Hematologist. Turns out my platelets were low which made it look much worse than it was.

Dr Mook was terrific. I had seen 2 other Ortho drs for right shoulder pain that I had been experiencing since Aug 2019. The two other drs did nothing other than tell me to go to PT. Dr Mook took the time to talk to me and listen to what I had to say. He reviewed my MRI and showed me x-rays that were taken in the office. He explained to me exactly what was going on. Finally I received what I was looking for, a cortisone shot. I almost have full range of my arm already. I highly recommend Dr Mook.

Dr. Mook is very personable, friendly, responsive, and takes the time to answer all your questions. He is very knowledgeable (immediately diagnosed an ACL tear when others said it was “just a sprain”), professional, and ensures you are ready to return to sports.

Dr. Mook was attentive, courteous, friendly, and professional. It was immediately apparent that he knew what he was doing and could explain my issues to me in an understandable way. He did not make me feel rushed and I felt like I’d had a thorough diagnosis by the time I left. Treatment is not yet over, so I can’t say with certainty that his diagnosis and treatment plan are effective, but he seemed confident that it would solve my problems.

Dr. Mook, is straightforward and very pleasant. He’s extremely knowledgeable regarding my shoulder injury. He was also respectful regarding expenses after I told him that I have a $7000 deductible as a self-employed individual (which is very annoying - thank you Obama). So he did a procedure and said but let’s see how that works before we go to the next step.

From my first meeting with Dr Mook, when I was in great pain due to a fractured shoulder, he impressed me and my husband. He explained in detail the results of the xrays and CT scan, and presented options to deal with the injury. I opted for surgery as it would best help me restore full range of motion. He contacted my husband right after surgery to let him know how it had gone and how I was doing. He has an excellent manner with patients - took his time, listened carefully, very sensitive. During initial visit, he asked great questions about me - to determine how active I was, etc. 3 months later, I have full use of my right arm due to his surgical skills and an excellent physical therapy team. Cannot say enough good things about this extremely talented, caring doctor.

Dr. Mook provides exceptional care and he is distinctly accomplished in the field of orthopedics. Yet, he has a down to earth empathic and positive encouraging vibe. He was the surgeon I met in ER after my injury and his magnetic smile and positive energy diffused the horrific pain I was in at that moment. Dr. Mook performed my surgery and detailed the procedure and what to expect during the healing process. Surgery was a huge success and the scars are minimal. I am on the road to healing and Dr. Mook has been great. I dont wish broken bones on anyone but recommend Dr. Mook. I am so grateful he was the doctor on call when I was injured.
