I had a total knee replacement. I had the utmost confidence in him. When the time comes to have my other knee done, it will be with Dr. Matarese.
    Clifton, NJ |
The only reason he didn't get 5 stars from me is because I want to do a little more research but so far his professionalism and individualization of his patients make him stand out and he treats not only the problem with care and concern but also the PATIENT. He explains things so that I , someone who is not a doctor, can understand and encourages questions so that everyone is one the same page.

Dr Matarese performed double knee replacement on my mom. At 86 ,she is still going strong considering the surgery was over 20 years ago!!!!!!!!!!! I would highly recommend the excellence of Dr Matarese for all your orthopedic needs.

Doctor Matarese is the best in his field , I would recommend him to anyone who needs knee or shoulder even hip replacements . His staff and everyone in his office are very professional . The other doctor Dr Patrizia . Terri is also someone I would recommend to family or friends .
Worse experience of my life at a doctor's office. 2 hour wait time, barely examined me, and missed a diagnosis.

I recommend Dr. Matarese to anybody. He is an excellent surgeon. I was up and walking the day after surgery with very little pain. I was walking without any assistance within two weeks. He explained everything clearly and answered all of my questions thoroughly. His office staff is very helpful when I call and they act very professional during my office visits.

The WORSE experiences I ever had! I went to him with knee pain6 on (1-10) and left with pain 9+!He came in w/2 females. One his assistant that took notes on the computer and the other was a student. I sat on the table with my knees hanging over. When he came close(I thought to exam me)he bent down and DISLOCATED my knee then said"that should have HURT"!Then he gave the student instructions on how to dislocate it again. He never should have hurt me twice just for a teaching lesson! He is crazy!!!
