After dealing with hip pain for a decade, I finally gave in and saw Dr. Kurtz in November of 2015 at the recommendation of a friend who works at TOA. We scheduled anterior THR for January 2016, and I'm so thankful I did. He calmed my fears about going through surgery. A year and a half later, I am still amazed many days when I realize I don't hurt anymore.

He can do surgery but if you have a problem you need to go find a doctor. He does not want to take care of you after several months. He leave you in pain even after the tells you how he can correct the problem. He gets to the point he wants nothing to do with you and dose not refer you to someone that will care for you.

I had an anterior hip replacement performed by Dr. Kurtz and every aspect of my surgery was perfect. Dr. Kurtz and his staff are caring and professional every step of the way. Dr. Kurtz's skill as a surgeon is superb, and he wants the best possible outcome for his patients. That's exactly what I wanted, too! I had complete confidence and trust in Dr. Kurtz and my confidence was rewarded. My new hip has given me a new life! I have already recommended him and TOA to several friends. Thank you!

I approached Dr Kurtz about a partial (compartmental) knee replacement after two previous scopes. My surgeon wouldn't treat me when I hit Medicare. Lots of knee pain. We tried the typical pre-surgery treatments like cortizone, therapy, icing, meloxicam, etc without much help. Then custom fit surgery. I worked hard. It hurt, but then less & less to where I no longer have knee pain. I can do everything except kneel & I'm learning how to do that. I sleep every night. Thank You!

Dr. Kurtz did an excellent job with 2 of my knee replacements. He set appropriate expectations, listened to me needs and wants and performed with no issues. While in the hospital Dr. Kurtz looked in on me each day and afterward was available by phone and email. Overall an excellent experience.

So blessed I came to Health Grades first to find so many 5 stars listed in Dr. Kurtz's favor. My pre care, surgery and post care have been the best. Being pain free with the anterior hip replacement approach has been amazing after decades of pain. Dr. Kurtz and his staff are the great!
