      Dr. Jawien says...

      Dr. William Jawien believes that every patient has the right to be treated with respect, dignity and compassionate cancer care.

      Board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology, Dr. Jawien completed his residency training in internal medicine at the Naval Hospital-Oakland and his fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the National Naval Medical Center in Maryland.

      Dr. Jawien left the U.S. Navy to join the cCARE's staff in 2001. He recently retired from drilling with reserves of the U.S. Navy.

      Dr. Jawien and his wife have three children.
